The phrase "kal milengue" is used for "See you tomorrow" in Urdu.
Interestingly, "kal" is both the word for yesterday and tomorrow.
And when yesterday and tomorrow are the same, then today is the only thing that matters.
(I am such a cheeseball. Apologies.)

you keep me sane. did you know that? I love you.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is a cheesy (paneer-y) observation at all. I think the "kal" issue reminds me of the apocryphal anecdote about eskimos having 16 words for snow. You can tell what's important to people by listening to their language. You can also order at their restaurants.
